Heike, why would you do Christmas in October? I've heard of Christmas in July, but October?!?

Well, how busy is YOUR summer? If it's anything like mine, then you're gone for half of it - we spend a ton of time at Christian Harbor Youth Camp. You should ask me sometime about it!!! And this year, we had to make an unexpected trip to my family in Germany.

So, Christmas in July just doesn't really fit into my schedule. But October - isn't it a time when we start to think about the upcoming holidays?

We think about the preparations we have to make, have family stay with us or we are traveling to visit them. However, there are always some family members and friends we won't get to see but want to share in the Holiday Spirit somehow. And that's where good ol' Christmas Cards come in handy.

You can share what you're family has been up to, how the kids have grown, maybe you've added a new member to your family, or you're hosting an exchange student, or it's your and your spouse's first Christmas together, or you always do a Christmas Photo with your dog, ...

Whatever your reason may be - I know I LOVE receiving GOOD Christmas Cards.

Heike, why do you emphasize GOOD in Christmas Cards? Aren't all the cards good?

Hmm, how do you feel when you get a card in the snail mail? Yippie? Yeah, me too! Some cards are the ones that come in sets of 12ish or more with different designs from the store - like this one -, or any design but you buy one card at a time. There are some really sweet designs and sayings or verses in them already. All you have to do is 'sign & send'. And see, that's what I don't like. It just seems like mass mail and not personal. Maybe I'm spoiled, but I do love to see a little personal note.
